A tradition is something you do for reasons long forgotten. Who knows how The Bagel Ride began? Who cares? It's a tradition, so just get out of bed, put on that new sweater your mother gave you for Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa, drink some hot chocolate and join some of the CCC's hardiest riders as we get in one last ride in 2008. As usual, The Bagel Ride will be a short, slow ride that is dependent on weather conditions. The ride will end at The Bagel Restaurant in Lakeview for a Jewish delicatessen brunch. Neither snow nor sleet will stop us from our bagels, but the ride might be shortened under those conditions.  

Come celebrate the first day of 2009 with an easy, short ride to wash away 2008 and any leftover hangovers you may have.


Start out the New Year with a fun filled morning of camaraderie and joy. This annual ride of 12-15 miles around Chicago ends at a location different from the start point.

The ride is free and open to all, no RSVP needed to ride. There will be an after-ride brunch that must be RSVP'd to in order to have appropriate seating at the restaurant and advanced warning for the staff.

Bring a lock if joining us for lunch and money, small bills preferable. Don't forget to RSVP for lunch.
